The Princess Elizabeth Centre provides highly specialized medical and surgical support for children with physical disabilities. Our orthopaedic team conducts comprehensive evaluations to diagnose conditions affecting mobility, bone development, posture and functional movement. Children requiring surgical intervention receive expert care through coordinated procedures, pre-operative planning and personalized recovery pathways.

Post-surgery, our nursing staff ensures constant monitoring, pain management and compassionate support throughout the healing process. Families are guided through every stage of the journey — from assessment to discharge — with clear communication and evidence-based treatment plans. This integrated approach allows each child to achieve the best possible functional outcomes and long-term mobility.

Does my child need a referral to see a specialist?

A referral is helpful but not required. Parents can contact us directly, and we will guide you through the assessment process.

How do I know if my child needs surgery?

Where are surgeries performed?

Surgeries are coordinated through PEC’s specialist network and performed at partnering medical facilities equipped for paediatric orthopaedic procedures.

What happens after my child’s surgery?

Children receive post-operative nursing care, pain management and a personalised rehabilitation plan that includes physiotherapy and other therapies as needed.

Is there a cost for medical or surgical services?

PEC is a non-profit organisation. Some services may be subsidized or covered through government support and donations. Costs vary depending on the child’s needs, and our team will explain all options.
