A Legacy Rooted in Love and Community
Founded in 1950 through the generosity of the people of Trinidad & Tobago and named with permission of Princess Elizabeth, PEC began as a children’s orthopaedic hospital dedicated to rehabilitation after polio. Today, it has evolved into a nationally recognized centre providing medical care, therapy, education and support for children with physical disabilities.
Ability is always greater than disability. At PEC, we empower every child to rise and reach their true potential.
Comprehensive Care & Support
Why Your Help Is Important
Government support covers only a portion of our services. Donations help fund surgeries, therapy sessions, equipment, school supplies, meals and residential care.
Every contribution — big or small — makes a direct difference in a child’s life.
Modern Surgical Facilities for Advanced Paediatric Care
The surgical centre is equipped with modern operating theatres designed to support a wide range of paediatric orthopaedic procedures. These theatres are configured to accommodate complex spinal, limb, joint and soft-tissue surgeries, with layouts that promote efficiency, sterility and precise surgical workflow.
Upgraded equipment and specialised orthopaedic technology allow surgical teams to perform procedures with greater accuracy, improved control and enhanced patient safety. The design of the space supports best practices in infection prevention, anaesthesia management and intraoperative monitoring.
